This morning star Trevor Sorbie faces final days with inspirational strength

This morning star: Renowned for his celebrity hair, Trevor Sorbie, this morning star, has said he has “weeks to live” following his terminal bowel cancer rejection of more chemotherapy. The cancer of the 76-year-old has progressed to his liver; although chemo might prolong his life by one month, Trevor chose to refuse it, labeling it as “poison.”

Trevor said in a recent interview that he was resolved to face the end on his terms. He said, pointing to his head, “I have cancer in my body but not in here.” Resiliently, he said, “My brain is the engine” and he’ll “go when I’m ready.”

Having worked with stars including Helen Mirren, Kylie Minogue, Paul McCartney, and George Harrison over decades in the business, the well-known hairdresser is Trevor’s impact goes beyond fashion; in 2009 he started *My New Hair*, a charity teaching hairdressers to cut wigs so that cancer sufferers might feel beautiful.

Trevor is still committed to maximize his last days, even though his health is failing. He intends to have his ashes buried with those of his wife Carole and their dog and want to die at home. Calling Carole his “Florence Nightingale,” Trevor also expressed thanks for her relentless support.

He said the day he received his diagnosis was startling. He went to the hospital following significant bleeding and was told he had cancer. Trying to lighten the event, he said, “I experienced a minor panic attack…then headed for a large gin and tonic.

Approaching his last chapter with strength and compassion, Trevor inspires others with his charity and family by side. His contributions to cancer support as well as fashion will help us to remember him.
