A London thief who stole a Rolex worth £10,000 and tried to steal more watches at knifepoint has been sent to prison.

Over the course of 11 months, 24-year-old Muridi Bahdon attempted to rob London Underground stations several times with a knife.

A thief who threatened men with knives in broad daylight before stealing or attempting to steal their expensive watches has been gaoled.

Over the course of 11 months, 24-year-old Muridi Bahdon targeted three watch owners at London bus stops. He stole a Rolex worth £10,000 by telling the owner “I am a killer” and he went after another Rolex owner with a large knife.

On 1 July 2016, Bahdon approached a man standing in the queue outside a shop in Earls Court station concourse with a large knife and demanded he hand over his Rolex. The case was heard at Inner London Crown Court.

The person fought Bahdon off with the jacket he was carrying when he lunged at them with the knife.

The man then ran behind the counter of the shop and called the police while Bahdon ran away.

Three days later, at around 1.4pm on 4 July, a second victim was on the District Line Tube on his way to Sloane Square.

When he arrived at Victoria Station, Bahdon boarded the train and sat next to him, although there were many empty seats.

Bahdon looked at his watch and saw. The woman got off the train at Sloane Square because she felt “uncomfortable and nervous”

He turned round to see if Bahdon had stayed on the train and saw that he had walked towards him. Bahdon grabbed the victim by the shirt, pulled out a knife and told him to take off his watch.
